Sketchbook Q009

I collect everyday life. I choose essential and quite insignificant elements. Then I close them in a two-dimensional space. They are often out of the context, or occurring in a new seemingly illogical connections. This is the way I put new order in the surrounding me reality. I make an attempt to understand and reconcile the dual nature of things: rationality and irrationality.

Q009 sketchbook is a painting object, which in 2011 started the Sketchbook Q cycle consisting of 14 objects now and still being continued.

Q009 sketchbook belongs to the Sketchbook Q cycle. It is the first one, which has been created in whole after graduate. This is new beginning, the moment of new possibilities, challenges, questions and researches.

Q009, as the earlier sketchbooks alike, includes records of observations, associations, events, thoughts and inspirations. But most of all it is a beginning leading to the idea of three author's pictorial books and many illustrations.
