border / drawings

border / drawings project, work in progress, which has started in 2020 is an continuation of „personality borders / border” pixel artworks, although that involved much larger pixel art pieces (59” X 82”), created using drawing, intaglio printing and cyanotype techniques in a series based on a self-portrait.

With border / drawings I have gone back to more realistic drawing to explore how chiaroscuro affects a picture. This topic gets very interesting, considering the multitude of possible choices of paper color (white, black, silver) and the drawing tool. I focus on black/gray/white/silver tones and would like to continue that exploration. The concept is to make the subject obscure to see due to slight differences between the chosen paper and pencil color.
